Your new role

• Managing Accounts payable and Accounts receivable functions
• Managing all the banks, including entries and ensuring timely reconciliation of the system.
• Reconciliation of all store sales and collections (cash, credit card and bank)
• Responsible for day-to-day Bookkeeping and Accounting of GL Accounts; Accounts Receivable; Accounts Payable; Asset and Inventory Accounting
• Carry out the monthly accounting closing entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and ensure up-to-date reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure UAE VAT Compliance at all times in terms of Sales and Purchases while recording all entries in accordance to UAE VAT laws and submitting the VAT return workings on a quarterly basis.
• Control the inventory entries and manage the stock from an accounting point of view while conducting periodic audits.
• Responsible for Petty Cash book maintenance and recording.
• Assist in preparation of monthly management reporting and required analysis.
• Assist in controlling the financials by means of budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis.
• Ensure timely financial year-end closing, including reconciling and preparation of schedules for audit purposes.
• Support in closing the audit and providing the needed information to external auditors.
• Assist in continuous improvement and developing the processes in the company.

What you'll need to succeed

• 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting and overall finance function
• Academic or Professional qualification, either part or full, from a recognised body such as CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong competence in MS Office applications, particularly in Excel.
• Exposure to accounting and ERP systems.
• Ability to build relationships and be a team player across verticals.
• Excellent written English and command of the English language.
