My client is looking for a strong mid-to-senior-level professional to lead their operational and transactional accounting team. This role will oversee a team of over 15 members and play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, compliance, and accuracy of their financial processes.

Your new role

• Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership and mentorship to a large team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Transactional Accounting Expertise: Bring hands-on experience in managing and optimising processes, including purchase-to-pay, payroll, collections, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and general ledger activities.
• Process Optimisation: Lead initiatives to streamline and enhance accounting processes to drive efficiency, accuracy and tax compliance and optimisation.
• ERP Implementation: Support the company through an ERP system implementation, ensuring smooth adoption and integration with current workflows.
• Audit Management: Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, managing quarterly audits and ensuring compliance with Big Four standards.

What you'll need to succeed

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance; CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 8–10 years in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with operations in the aviation services, logistics, or blue-collar workforce sectors is highly advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and financial tools, with a strong ability to drive system adoption, automation and process enhancements.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. A proactive and process-oriented mindset is essential.
