Your new company

The role holder is responsible for overseeing planning, budgeting, and management reporting within the finance function. This role involves developing and maintaining the annual business plan and budget, as well as collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure effective budget control and forecasting. The Financial Planner will also drive improvements in planning and budgeting policies and systems and ensure adherence to internal controls related to planning and budgeting activities.

Your new role

  • Develop and maintain the annual business plan and budget in collaboration with business and other stakeholders.
  • Draft, recommend, and implement changes to planning and budgeting policies and procedures to enhance financial planning effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with all business functions to ensure alignment of financial objectives with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Develop and distribute periodic (quarterly) forecasts, collaborating with business and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor and control the periodic budget, comparing actual results against the budget and forecast.
  • Provide variance analysis and take corrective actions.
  • Prepare and distribute standard and on-demand financial management reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for planning system setup and maintenance, ensuring all templates, models, and budgetary control setups are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Ensure that all internal controls related to planning, budgeting, and reporting are adhered to, reducing risks and ensuring compliance.
  • Maintain effective communication with business leaders and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth financial operations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 8+ years of relevant in-depth experience in Oracle HFM and Oracle ERP, financial planning, & budgeting.
  • Oracle ERP mainly General Ledger (GL) in depth experience.
  • Financial close, consolidation, and external reporting
  • Strong understanding and implementation capabilities of IFRS (especially IFRS 9) and UAE accounting standard
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Significant analytical skillset, including the utilisation of modern ERP, EPM & BI tools
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Required Professional certification: CMA,CPA.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance
