The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making within the organisation. This role involves working with financial data, generating reports, and communicating financial results to various stakeholders.

Your new role

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• External Reporting: Assist in the preparation of external financial reports, such as annual reports, SEC filings, and other regulatory disclosures, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

• Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual financial results for comparative periods.

• Audit Support and Completion: Collaborate with internal and external auditors and provide necessary documentation and explanations for audits

• Data Analysis: Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement.

• Technical Accounting: Assist in the preparation of technical papers for key accounting positions.

• Documentation: Maintain organised records and documentation of financial reports and data sources for audit and compliance purposes

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting processes and enhance accuracy.

• Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by management

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or finance.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, SEC regulations).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva, Active Disclosures). Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
