Financial Reporting Analyst - Dubai

The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making within the organisation. This role involves working with financial data, generating reports, and communicating financial results to various stakeholders.
Your new role
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
External Reporting: Assist in the preparation of external financial reports, such as annual reports, SEC filings, and other regulatory disclosures, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual financial results for comparative periods.
Audit Support and Completion: Collaborate with internal and external auditors and provide necessary documentation and explanations for audits
Data Analysis: Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement.
Technical Accounting: Assist in the preparation of technical papers for key accounting positions.
Documentation: Maintain organised records and documentation of financial reports and data sources for audit and compliance purposes
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting processes and enhance accuracy.
Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by management
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2–4 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or finance.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, SEC regulations).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva, Active Disclosures). Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
