SOC Lead / Head of SOC position with global organisation (Dubai)

Your new role
As a SOC leader, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization's critical assets and data. Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive SOC strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Team Management: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of security analysts and engineers.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate effective incident response activities, minimizing impact and ensuring timely resolution.
- Threat Detection and Prevention: Implement robust threat detection and prevention measures to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Security Tool Management: Oversee the management and optimization of security tools and technologies.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance SOC efficiency and effectiveness.
What you'll need to succeed
- 13+ years of work experience with a minimum of 5 years in SOC management
- Ability to build a SOC from the ground up
- Experience with implementation of automation
- A vision to build a 24/7 SOC
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, and incident response methodologies
- Strong technical expertise in SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewall management, and other security tools
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC)
