4–8 years PQE Common Law Qualified Commercial Technology Counsel
Your new company
Our client, a leading technology company in the UAE, urgently seeks a 4–8 years PQE Common Law Qualified Legal Counsel with a strong background in commercial technology law, particularly in intellectual property (IP) and data privacy.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Commercial Tech Expertise: Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of technology-related contracts, including software licences, data processing agreements, and IP licencing agreements.
- Admitted to practice in a recognised common law jurisdiction (UK, Australia or NZ preferred)
- IP & Data Privacy: Deep understanding of IP laws (e.g., patents, trademarks, copyrights) and data privacy regulations (e.g., UAE Personal Data Protection Law).
- Commercial Contracting: Strong foundation in general commercial contract law, including drafting, negotiation, and risk management.
- In-House Experience: Preferred, but not mandatory. Experience working in-house at a technology company or other relevant industry is highly valued.
- UAE Residency: Current UAE residency is preferred, but the company is willing to consider candidates who are willing to relocate to the UAE quickly.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are essential. The ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is crucial.
